Back to Fall Weather and a Christmas Card

We’ve had more typical October weather the last few days – cool to cold wind and rain or overcast with temperatures getting closer to the freezing mark each night. Today Joe had to cut the grass again and I had to remove flags for him! The hydro company is replacing a huge hydro pole that sits on our lawn close to the road. Our lawn is the dumping lot for cable; telephone; water and hydro cables and drains. The surveyors came yesterday and put those small flags where there are there is something buried so I had pull out the flags and then replace them…..hopefully in the right place…after he went by…..annoying way to cut grass.

Today’s card is another Christmas card I made using up some scrap paper.

The background with the red birds is all one piece from a 6” paper pack. The brown is from another 6” paper pack and I had these two pieces left over from another project. The die cut poinsettia is a Memory Box die that I borrowed from my friend Jane. It was die cut in gold cardstock and glued to the larger brown strip. Once everything was glued down gold peel-off strips were added along the edges of the brown strips and red gems were added to the poinsettia. The sentiment and star are also gold peel-offs and a red gem was added to the middle of the star to form the old invisible triangle so the eye will keep going from red to red to red….at least it does for me.

That’s all for a cool and overcast Wednesday, October 25, 2017.

Cheers

Violet
